23 DE OUTUBRO: DIA INTERNACIONAL DAS BIBLIOTECAS ESCOLARES
No mês de Outubro, na quarta 2º feira, celebra-se, por todo o mundo, o Dia Internacional das Bibliotecas Escolares. Este ano, calha a 23 de Outubro, tão importante data. E nós não vamos deixá-la passar sem a festejarmos também! Temos algumas actividades já programadas para esse dia:
- BOLETIM, edição especial
- dois concursos, com atribuição de 6 prémios em cada um deles.: QUEM É O ESCRITOR? (terás que adivinhar quem são os 10 escritores portugueses cujas fotografias vamos afixar) e QUEM ESCREVEU ESTE LIVRO? (terás de identificar quem é o autor de 10 livros muito conhecidos)
- troca de marcadores de livros com 2 escolas do Canadá : os alunos do 6º A e do 6º B vão fazer marcadores e enviar para as seguintes escolas: St. Michael Community School e St. Volodymyr School
- 12 convidados leêm para 12 turmas - entre as 8h30m e as 18h30m o CRE vai encher-se de leitores, leituras e ouvintes!

Achamos que esta experiência vai ser divertida e muito interessante pois já estamos a aprender coisas novas! Já fizemos uma 'viagem' a Saskatoon!

I am very excited about doing the bookmark project together. I,too, am a
teacher librarian and I was wondering what the age group of your children
would be.Then I will approach teachers who have the same age children to
participate in the exchange. I am also the T.L. at St. Michael School and I
have talked to a few teachers there about it. They are excited also.I am
looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Michelle! Yes, I'm very excited too and I hope my students feel the same way when I'll talk to them next Monday (the 1st day of our school year!). They're 11-12 years old.I have two classes (26 students each). I'm going to ask my colleague who teaches Visual Arts to help us so that the BMs can be as pretty as possible!

The new address is the home page for St.Volodymyr. I am going to try to find a person who can teach us some Portuguese. Could you please tell us where your school is located so that the students can look it up on a map? The class that is participating here is a grade 6 class(about 12 years old) in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Michelle! It's so nice hearing from you! Our school is located in a very small town called S. Mamede de Infesta which is very near to Matosinhos (a bigger town on the northern coast) and Porto city (the '2nd' capital of Portugal). As you probably know, Porto is worldwide famous because of the Port Wine and the historical part of the city is classified by Unesco as World Heritage. Porto is an old town (Portugal 'was born' in the north) with very pretty ancient buildings and modern ones as well: many tourists visit it every year!
Our school is attended by students from 10 to 14 and this year I'm a teacher of 11/12 years-old children. Let us know where your school is located as well!
I hope you find someone who can help you with the Portuguese so that you can 'read' my blog!!

Hi Angelina,
I love the information you shared with us.Saskatoon is a city of about 250,000 people. It is located in the middle of our province of Saskatchewan.Saskatchewan is one of 10 provinces and 3 territories of the country Canada.We have a river that flows through our city and we are called the City of Bridges.We are on the praries here but the northern half of the province is pine trees and much rock. That's all for now.

espero que os marcadoras de livros chegue a tempo a canada a cidade de saskatoon e que as escolas de la tambem dem o seus maximos para a realização deste trabalho complicado e tambem queria disser que trabalho foi realizado com muito empenho pelo 6ºB e que a professora das escolas canadianas gostem e os alunos tambem!
